BUKIT MERTAJAM, 4 Jun (Bernama) — Sekumpulan Ahli Majlis daripada Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) hari ini memulaukan majlis pelantikan Yang Dipertua baru Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai (MPSP) dari kalangan penjawat awam, kerana membantah tindakan kerajaan negeri yang dikatakan tidak berunding dengan parti itu berhubung pelantikan itu.

Manohara : The Unsung Heroes

SINGAPORE, June 3 — We don’t have their names but we do have a name for them — unknown heroes.
Three strangers, including a Singapore cabby, played crucial roles in helping teen model Manohara Odelia Pinot flee from her husband, Kelantan prince Tengku Temenggong Muhammad Fakhry on Saturday.
Pinot’s sister, Dewi Sari Asih, 20, told The New Paper that the escape would not have been possible if not for the help they received from these strangers.

PKR ‘s MPSP members to boycott swearing-in of new president

(NST) – Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) members from Parti Keadilan Rakyat may boycott today’s swearing-in ceremony for the new council president in protest against the state government’s refusal to appoint their candidate to the post.
PKR’s whip in the MPSP, Johari Kassim, said they might also resign as councillors while blasting Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for allegedly running the state ‘like his own backyard’.

PKR Youth lodges report

KUALA TERENGGANU: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) yesterday lodged a police report over the collapse of the roof of the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium here.
State PKR Youth chief Mohd Fariz Musa said police should probe how the Public Works Department issued a temporary certificate of fitness (CF) for the RM292-million stadium when it was clearly not safe.
“If there are elements of negligence or corruption, those responsible must be exposed to face the full brunt of the law,” he said after lodging the report.

Gerakan’s Huan ‘ready to join PKR’

(NST) BUTTERWORTH: State Parti Keadilan Rakyat chairman Datuk Zahrain Mohamed Ha-shim yesterday claimed Gerakan vice-president Huan Cheng Guan would be joining PKR.
Zahrain, who is the Bayan Baru MP, said Huan had indicated his intention to join PKR when he met him on Tuesday.
